Jo Cork is an independent dance artist, choreographer, screendance practitioner, and dance film maker, drawing on exploration of the human experience to create her work. We are seeking 2-3 dance artists who are confident with improvisation, with a minimum of 3 years professional experience, who have lived experience of hearing or sight impairment, or neurodiversities affecting sensory perception. Artists will work with Jo Cork, composer, Bartosz Szafranski and creative technologist, Ava Agakouchak to explore and develop new wearable haptics technology, and an experimental screendance work encompassing an audio, visual and haptic sensory experience. We would like to work with artists who have an interest in dance film, or dance and technology. AVH is Research and Development phase supported by Studio Wayne McGregor and is part of the QuestLab Programme for artists developing work in Dance and Technology. With additional support from Central School of Speech and Drama, Sense, University of West London/London College of Music, University College London/Bartlett School of Architecture. A free shuttle bus runs between Here East and Stratford International and Stratford tube station Monday – Saturday. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic the Here East shuttle bus operates a limited service.
